our history

1925. Sal Marino started as a tile finisher with his uncle. In 1955 he started his own business and became renowned as one of the best custom ceramic tile installers in the Tri State area. In 1973 Sal, his two sons Joe & John and his son-in-law Tony Vanario decided to open their first store located in Staten Island, New York City's fastest growing borough at the time.

In 1987 we designed, built and moved into our current and only location at the foot of the Outerbridge Crossing, a state of the art facility clad in durable, beautiful, and energy efficient blue porcelain tile. We added decorative plumbing and bath furniture to our selection, bringing the finest ceramic tile and luxury plumbing projects together under one roof. All this combined with a talented design staff, our 12,000 s/f showroom and our philosophy that insists on consumer satisfaction makes Richmond Tile & Bath the best place for your tile and plumbing needs.

We are devoted to customer satisfaction. Our success is a result of satisfied customers recommending us to friends and family.  We have an impeccable reputation in the industry both with our customers and our manufacturers.  Richmond Tile & Bath continues to operate as a family- owned business with
a solid philosophy of providing the most innovative quality products to an informed customer.  We are proud to have earned the respect of our manufacturers, suppliers and most important of all that of our customers, without whom we would not exist!
