What should I bring with me?

Do you install products?

Customers who purchase products from us have access to independent tile setters, plumbers and general contractors who are dependable, competitive and very talented. Ask your salesperson for details. Back to top.

What is your return policy?

Approved returns of stocked items are allowed within 30 days, and are subject to handling charges. Custom or made to order items cannot be returned. Back to top.

Can you match tile I already have?

We would be happy to try to match tile you already have; however, one of our excellent salespersons may be able to come up with a great solution if we do not have an exact match. Back to top.

Can I get a sample?

How do you accept payment?

When may I expect my order to arrive?

Most products are in stock in our huge warehouse. Special orders or items temporarily out of stock typically arrive within 1 to 6 weeks depending on production cycles and availability. Back to top.

What is the difference between porcelain and ceramic tile?

Porcelain tile is made with highly refined clays formed dyes under high pressure and fired at over 2,500 degrees fahrenheit. They may be monolithic or glazed. Either way, porcelain tile is resistant to wear, impact and has water absorption of less than one percent making it suitable for external installation in high traffic areas.

Ceramic tile is made of refined clay and is usually glazed. Water absorption is greater than 3 percent. Suitable for interior walls & floors. Back to top.

How should I clean my tile floor?

Just as there are many types of tile floors; e.g., stone, porcelain, glazed porcelain, ceramic and glazed ceramic, there are many different products to keep your floor looking its best. We will be happy to help you choose the appropriate product. We carry a neutral cleaner that can be used in most circumstances. Also in stock is a complete collection of Fila products. Back to top.

What is the procedure for buying a granite/marble countertop?

Provide a sketch of the area, whether kitchen, bathroom, fireplace, etc., showing area to which stone will be installed. Select a stone color (in some cases we may have you select a specific slab to reserve for your project) and we will quote the job. Upon receipt of your deposit we will come out and template the area. From templating to installation is approximately one week. Back to top.

How do I care for my granite/marble countertop?

For polished material we recommend an impregnating sealer. For tumbled and unpolished material color enhancing sealers may be another option.  Both will reduce the porosity of the stone. Do you deliver?

Yes, for a nominal fee we cover the tri-state area with our own trucks. New Jersey residents pay only 7% sales tax on sales/deliveries to New Jersey. Out of state and international shipments are made with common carriers or freight forwarders. Back to top.

What is the proper way to clean an air-massage bath?

We sell a selection of non-abrasive cleaners for massage baths and all other household surfaces that will keep them sparkling clean and sanitary. Back to top.

Do you have design services?

Yes! Our talented designers will help you select from the proper backerboard to the robe hook making the selection process an easy and pleasant experience . Back to top.

What grout do you recommend?

We carry different kinds of grout for different needs. We are really excited about our new StarQuartz Quartz Lock Urethane Grout Technology – a grout that is semi-flexible, waterproof and needs no sealing. The color in StarQuartz will not fade. Do you carry waterproofing materials?

Wedi is a completely waterproof light weight board for walls and floors. They also make pre-pitched shower pans for quick and easy installation.

Schluter Kerdi Waterproof Membrane is used to waterproof walls and floors in wet areas, showers, steam rooms, commercial floors, etc. Kerdi Shower Kits include pre-pitched shower pans with Kerdi Drains for a water tight sanitary installation. Back to top.

Can I purchase products on your website?

Currently, purchases cannot be made over the Internet. Please note that not all products available are represented on the Richmond Tile & Bath website.
